Harley Davidson 1949 Panhead Motorcycles for Sale

With the 1949 model year, Harley Davidson introduced a Panhead called the Hydra-Glide. The Hydra-Glide, named because of the hydraulic front fork on the 1949 Harley, was not actually recommended because of stability issues due to the trail being insufficient on the motorcycle. Therefore, the springer was actually the more sought after at the time. Along with the hydraulic fork, a stainless steel timer, stainless steel generator cover, and chrome relay cover were also available, but only for the one year.

The Harley Davidson 1949 Hydra-Glide has since become a highly sought motorcycle for the Harley-Davidson enthusiast, mainly because it was the first Hydra-Glide put into production. Available below are just a few Harley-Davidson 1949 Panheads on sale today!
